Cambridge Forum for Jewish Studies

Research

Martin’s research explores the context and wider significance of the Takkanot Candia. This valuable resource is made up of a collection of local laws governing the capital of Venetian Crete, providing a gamut of interesting information on the everyday life of Jews, and their interaction with non-Jews, in the Eastern Mediterranean during the medieval and early modern period.
