Dr Julia G. Krivoruchko works as a part-time Research Associate in the Taylor-Schechter Genizah Research Unit. She keeps track of the research on the Genizah fragments and the Hebrew manuscripts of the University Library, and is responsible for the bibliography of the Unit. 

The main focus of her current research work is medieval Judaeo-Greek biblical glossaries. Her other research interests are 

  • language contacts, particularly involving Greek, Semitic & Slavic languages; 

  • Byzantine Judaism, its history and culture;

  • dialectology, especially Jewish Greek language varieties.
